Editorial Standards & Corrections Policy

1. General Principles

• Every article must be based on verifiable sources (news agencies, official statements, direct interviews).
• No sensational or misleading headlines that misrepresent the article's content ("clickbait").
• No publishing of fake or unverified news, or speculation presented as fact.
• No impersonating real people, officials or organisations (including via AI-generated imagery or fabricated quotes) to promote a product or service.

2. Financial, Health & Medical Content

• No unsubstantiated profit or health-outcome claims.
• Finance/investment-related articles must carry a clear disclaimer: "This is not investment/medical advice."
• No content formatted as a "news article" that is in fact undisclosed advertising for a specific financial/medical product.

3. Vulnerable Audiences

We take particular care with content that could target or exploit elderly readers or people in vulnerable financial/health circumstances (e.g. pension, benefits or retirement-savings content paired with financial product advertising). This type of content is prohibited on the site entirely, including as sponsored content.

4. Advertising / Sponsored Content Disclosure

• All paid content must carry a clear "Advertisement" / "Sponsored" label at the top of the article, not hidden at the bottom.
• No layout or typography that makes advertising indistinguishable from editorial content (no "cloaking").
• Affiliate links must disclose the commercial relationship.

5. Plagiarism & Copyright

Verbatim copying from other sources is strictly prohibited. Translated/adapted articles from foreign sources must clearly cite the source and be substantially rewritten as original content, not unedited machine translation.

6. Editorial Review Process

Reporter drafts article → section editor verifies sources and edits → editor-in-chief approves publication. Any article drafted with AI assistance must be reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a human editor before publishing — no article is auto-published without this step.

7. Corrections Policy

When an error is identified, IndiaWire24 will:

• Correct the error as soon as possible after verification.
• Add a clear correction note at the bottom of the article, including the date and what was changed.
• Temporarily unpublish the article for serious errors while re-verifying.
